I have been using the Harber London Sleeve for my MacBook Air 13 for over 2 years and this is my long-term Harber London Sleeve Review. Made out of genuine leather, it’s one of the nicest leather sleeves I have used. However, it isn’t the cheapest. So, is it worth the money and more importantly, should you buy one? Well, let’s find out in this Harber London Sleeve Review for the MacBook Air.
Harber London is popular for creating high-quality genuine leather products for Apple devices and this one is no different. The Harber London Sleeve that I got is specifically made for the MacBook Air. I have used it for over 2 years now and I will talk about the sleeve in detail- the good, the bad, and the value proposition it provides.

Look and Design
One thing that makes the Harber London sleeve unique is that the company lets you customize and engrave the text of your liking. You can see in the photo below that I engraved my sleeve with my name. This really adds to the personal touch and makes the sleeve unique. I had gotten the sleeve, particularly with the thought of making a review of it, and didn’t have the plan to use it for a long-time. However, I saw myself using this sleeve just as much as my Woolnut leather sleeve. And a lot of it has to do with the fact that the sleeve from Harber London has my name upfront.
Apart from that, I really liked the minimal aesthetic of the sleeve. It is slim, minimal, and made out of high-quality genuine leather. I also love that it has got a zipper on top which makes it handy to carry around.
The front has the company logo and if you customize the sleeve, it will have the text you want to be engraved. Apart from that, the sleeve is free from unnecessary clutter and design traits.
Build Quality and Protection
The Harber London Sleeve is designed to be placed inside a backpack and does a great job at that. The sleeve has a slim profile and doesn’t take up a lot of space in the backpack. The sides of the sleeve, however, are nicely reinforced and definitely help the laptop from being damaged in case of an impact. If you have your MacBook Air inside this sleeve, and inside a backpack, you really don’t need to worry about the laptop being damaged.
In fact, many times I have tossed my backpack around not realizing that I have the MacBook inside. Thankfully, as I have my laptop inside the Harber London sleeve, the laptop has avoided damage so far.
The zippers on the casing are also really durable. The zipper is thick and the zipper track is really well constructed. Regardless of whether I zip the sleeve fast or slow, it has worked well for me without fail.
Features
To be completely honest here, the Harber London sleeve doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles. It’s a slim sleeve and that’s about it. There are no slots to store your laptop charge, dongles, or even a USB cable. There’s another variant of the Harber London Sleeve that has pockets to store extra accessories but the one I got doesn’t have any one of those.
I got the sleeve knowing that I would be always keeping the sleeve inside a backpack and I really didn’t want extra pockets. And since the sleeve doesn’t have extra pockets, it is really slim.
Although I wouldn’t call it a feature, the company lets you engrave any text of your liking when you order the sleeve. This is certainly worth mentioning. Also, unlike other laptop sleeves, this has got a really high-quality zipper.
Pricing and Value
Priced at $135, the Harber London Sleeve is far from the cheapest you can buy for the MacBook Air. However, I can say with confidence that it is one of the nicest. It is minimal, looks great, and feels great in the hand.
I have to say this though- the price of the sleeve could certainly have been a little less. This would have been a great sleeve for $99 but for $135, it does seem to be priced at a higher side.
But while you pay a high upfront cost, it is designed and built to last. Even after using the sleeve for over 2 years now, there’s no sign of wear and tear.
Conclusion – Best MacBook Air 13 Sleeve?
In short, if you are looking for a leather laptop sleeve, the Harber London MacBook Air laptop sleeve is one of the best you can buy in 2023. It is slim, doesn’t take up a lot of space in your backpack, and can be customized to your liking. It comes in multiple colors and has held up really well after years of owning it.
Sure, the price could be cheaper and the leather itself could be thicker, but as an overall package, the sleeve is great. It has held up great after 2 years of use and I have a feeling that the sleeve will outlast my 2021 M1 MacBook Air.
I found the customer support for Harber London to be great as well and I don’t have any regrets about buying this laptop sleeve.
If you aren’t sure about the design of this particular Harber London sleeve, it is worth noting that Harber London offers a range of designs for their sleeves.
