Coach Teri Shoulder Bag Review – Pride Edition

This is the long-term Coach Teri Shoulder Bag Review where we will discuss the design, quality, and price of the bag.

Each year Coach brings out different editions of the Teri Shoulder Bag. For this review, we are looking at the limited edition Pride edition of the Coach bag. I was looking to get a handbag for myself and I couldn’t stop myself from buying this. I got the Teri bag from the Coach online outlet store and it is priced reasonably well. I have used this shoulder bag for over a year now and have good things to say about it- mostly.

However, like most things in life, the shoulder bag isn’t perfect. It has a few shortcomings which may or may not be a dealbreaker for you. So, let’s get into the review where I will talk about the shoulder bag in great detail.

Table of Contents:

Design – Coach Teri Shoulder Bag

The Teri Shoulder Bag is one of the best-selling Coach bags. As can be clearly seen in the photo above, what I have is a pride-edition Coach Teri Shoulder bag. It has a shape and size that matches other Teri Shoulder bags. The bag is big enough to put in all your makeup, keys, phone, wallet, and other smaller items. However, you won’t be able to fit a laptop in the bag.

It also comes with a long strap- so you can use it as a shoulder bag or as a crossbody bag. It also has a detachable handle if you decide to use the long strap instead.

Quality and Materials Used

The Teri Shoulder bag is made out of refined pebble leather(aka faux leather). While it feels great in the hand, since it is refined leather and not genuine leather made out of animal skin, I doubt that it will last as long as a genuine leather bag will.

But apart from that, I have very few complaints. The zipper is very sturdy and the bag can be easily opened or closed with one hand. Attaching/detaching the straps and the handle is easy.

Storage and Compartments

Let’s talk about the compartments in this Coach Teri Shoulder Bag Review. Are there enough compartments in the bag?

Well, there’s about enough. There are 3 compartments inside the bag- two small enough to fit a couple of credit cards and one that is large enough to put your car keys and maybe your AirPods.

One thing that I would have loved to see is a pocket with a zipper inside to store cash or some valuables. Other than that, there’s really nothing to write home about.

Oh- I should also mention the bag is so small that you won’t fit anything larger than a modern large-sized phone. So things like iPad Mini or other smaller tablets are out of question.

Exclusivity

Coach Teri Shoulder bag isn’t exclusive and Coach will make as many units as the customers will demand. However, like this Pride Edition, Coach has different editions of Teri Shoulder bags which can make them look different than the rest of the Teri bags that we see on the streets.

Another cool thing I noticed is that- even though Coach comes with the ‘Pride Edition’ Teri Handbag collection, the design of the bags in the collection is different each year!

So, if you really want your bag to look different and exclusive, I suggest you wait for limited edition runs of the bag.

Price and Value

Like everything else, we have seen an increase in the price of the Coach Teri Shoulder Bag over the years. In Canada, the retail price of the bag is $250 or so. However, I don’t recommend you buy the bag at its retail price. Occasionally you will find this bag for under $130. I think $110-$140 is a sweet spot for this bag.

I will be clear in this Coach Teri Shoulder Bag Review- the bag isn’t cheap. But if you can find this Teri Shoulder Bag at a 50%-70% discount, it is definitely worth the money.

Conclusion – Coach Teri Shoulder Bag Review

The Coach Teri Shoulder Bag is one of my personal best bags to carry on an everyday basis. It is light, fits most of the things I want to carry, is built well, and hasn’t worn out in my 1 year of using it.

Any time I have to quickly leave home, the Teri Shoulder Bag is what I end up grabbing. To conclude the Coach Teri Shoulder Bag review, I can confidently say that, if you can get the bag for a good discount, it is certainly worth the money and I highly recommend it.

Note: I live in Canada and all the prices mentioned in the article are in Canadian dollars and not US dollars.
